Registration Policies and General Information
MathEdge programs (MathEdge+, Writing+, CODE+, School Course (Algebra – Calculus) is a year-round (Fall/Spring/Summer) teaching program for K-12 students
MathEdge+: Two 17-week semesters (Fall and Spring) are offered each year followed with summer camps. Classes are held once a week, for 90 minutes (60 minutes for K-1 students and 120 minutes for the Competitive levels). A topic will be taught each week followed with exercises to reinforce the concept. In addition, there will be weekly homework assignments. Each level’s course curriculum is published on our website (www.mathedge.org). The maximum class size is 12 students per class (excluding the Comp class and higher). Students are assigned to a class level based on ability. New students must be assessed prior to registration.
Registration fee – Registration fee is required from all students one time only if continuing through the years without breaks (up to 10 weeks summer break in a year is allowed).
Assessment – We use the assessment to place students in the appropriate class for them. Continuing students can challenge themselves to skip a level by requesting reassessment.
Tuition | Late signup – All payments are due prior to the first class. Classes are prorated if signup occurs after the semester begins. The minimum signup is a semester/session. If less than a semester is remaining, the minimum enrollment fee is at least half semester/session. Semester fee is used to prorate when joining less than ¾ of a program.
Cancellation policy – There are no refunds for missed classes/events or withdrawal. Credits for future classes and programs may be given for withdrawals or class transfers with 2 weeks written notice with the same center. Credits can be transferred to siblings and are to be used within one year at the same center. All other conditions, a 25% (with minimum $20) handling fee will be assessed.
Second Program discount – 10% off the lesser-priced program after signing up 2 semesters of the first program.
Sibling discount – either $50 for 1 semester or $100 for 2 semesters after a full two-semester registration of the first sibling.
Referrals – We offer an UNLIMITED referral bonus of $50/family referred to our Fall/Spring semester (minimum one whole semester) by our current students. To qualify for the referral bonus, the referred family must not already be on our contact list; and must note the referring student on the registration form. Bonus is honored after the new student(s) has attended an entire month of class.
Zoom – We will conduct classes via Zoom and record them for students who have let us know in advance that they will miss a class. Only the instructor is permitted to record meetings. These recordings may be posted on Zoom, our website, or YouTube channel.
Privacy Policy – We do not share your information with any third parties. We use the students contact information only for class related communications.
Class Assignment – MathEdge registers students based on schedule and availability, not by instructor.
Returned check charge – $25
